Hollandaise Sauce is creamy in texture and often referred to as 'Dutch sauce', yet very popular in France and across Europe. This sauce is wonderful over almost all (hot or cold) steamed vegetables, patties, pasta or roast dishes. Simply serve warm and enjoy.
Place the cashews in a bowl filled with drinking water. Leave them to soak for 4 - 6 hours. Once softened, drain the cashews.
Add the soaked cashews to a high speed food processor along with the nutritional yeast, lemon juice, white vinegar, water, turmeric, dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, black salt and paprika powder. Blend until creamy and smooth.
Transfer the blended sauce to a heat proof dish and place in a pot with boiling water. Allow the sauce to heat up and stir frequently, until it’s warmed through. It doesn’t need to be hot, just warm enough for serving. The sauce will thicken while heating.
Serve over pasta, roasted vegetables or baked potatoes or any dish you would serve a hollandaise sauce.
